Day #4 #30DaysWild- identity crisis for a fly-sized pocket lobster on the blackcurrant. It is neither - it is a male currant clearwing moth whose larvae feed on the shoots of red and black currant bushes.

Worryingly for a garden welcoming the Farnsfield Gardening Club tonight in the first of this years National Garden Scheme open gardens they ‘seem to favour neglected bushes’.

Needless to say the good folk of Farnsfield won’t be visiting a manicured garden..
